Member Advisory Council

CareOregon Advantage Member Advisory Council (MAC) 

Want to make your voice heard and enact change in your health plan? Then you want to join our Member Advisory Council (MAC).  It is a great way for people to share their thoughts, concerns and ideas. 

The MAC gives ideas and recommendations to our Board of Directors. They help build improvements in our health plan that affects the wellbeing of all of our members in Clackamas, Washington, Multnomah, Columbia, Tillamook, and Jackson counties.

Our purpose at CareOregon Advantage is to accelerate our members' ability to reach their health goals. And our vision: every member is given the opportunity to get their own best care. We believe that we will not be able to achieve this vision for you without your input.

With the help of our MAC, we are committed to supporting the development, spread and sustainability of Health Equity, Diversity and Inclusion programs that will help reduce health disparities and make it easier for our members to access the health care they need. 

Come join our MAC! Member responsibilities include:

1. 1. Speaking out about preventive care on behalf of members
2. 2. Helping to create improvements to the wellness programs based on needs in the counties we serve
3. 3. Adding ideas to an annual report on the health of COA
4. 4. Looking at COA’s work completed and the goals reached each year
5. 5. Giving opinions on items that COA produces, such as Informative materials
6. 6. Attending most MAC quarterly meetings through the year, either virtually or in-person
7. 7. Serving for up to a three-year term
